Event: Chanel Celebrates Mobile Art Pavilion in Central Park"What is art, what is architecture, what is fashion?"
Karl, Karl, Karl... I have spoken earlier about the genius that Lagerfeld is, and honestly, when he says these kinds of things, can you blame me?
"All those things, one should not put it in the same melting pot. Architecture is architecture, fashion is fashion, and art is art. We don't need art, but we cannot live without it," he said when asked about how his work and the work of Zaha Hadid (the creator of the gallery space) differed. "Actually, architecture we need because otherwise we are freezing, and clothes we need because we cannot run around naked."
Have to say, the man's got a point.
The night did not fall short of what you would expect, and there was more than enough champagne to go around.Lagerfeld arrived at the event, with celeb Kate Bosworth on his arm.
Other notable guest included Helena Christensen, Raquel Zimmermann, Agyness Deyn and Daphne Guiness.
Kate - who is one of my favourite alien-looking celebs - was dressed appropriately in a Chanel Haute Couture belted silver cocktail dress, paired with cute strappy heels. Quite classy.
Style rebel and icon Agyness Deyn (alongside musician boyfriend Albert Hammon Jr.) looked fierce in a cropped gray jacket, white wrapped top, black satin-looking pants and awesome leather shoe-boots.I must say, I don't think this girl ever looks dull.
The always gorgeous Raquel Zimmermann wore a stunning dark dress and one of my favourite clutches out there at the moment - by Chanel, naturally.
Socialite and couture collector, Daphne Guinness, looked impeccable as ever in a black dress, decorated with sparkley touches that resembled a mosaic, combining a bit of architecture with fashion.I find myself wondering again; why wasn't I there?
Rock on.
