Celeb: Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen

Event: Launch Party For Their Book Influence at Barney's

I'm not even going to comment on the reason for this party (a coffee table book? REALLY?!).
Ahem.
But what I will do is on comment on the hostess' choice of outfit.

M-K (she's the one in the black. Darling, it's not that hard to tell them apart) wore an interesting looking dress/ cape/ tent/ whatever-the-fuck-that-is.
Are those sleeves that are hanging by her ankles?
Whatever they may be, I must say it's not necessarily God-awful. No matter how you put it, I have faith in Mary-Kate and her fashion (non) sense. She looks surrealistically cool.

Plus, the bitch-heels are nice.

Ashley, on the other hand, did the "Sexy Chic".
She wore a very Balenciaga-esque tomato red mini-dress, showing off her thin (and short) pins.
I like the dress, I really do. Ashley always manages to look quite smart and elegant, but she does it in a very interesting way. She never plays it safe, which for me is very admirable.

At least she doesn't make herself look elegant and boring (like Eva Mendes. I mean, woman PLEASE. Yes, it's a nice dress and yes, they're nice shoes and yes, you look lovely, but come on. Be a little more daring!).

M-K: 6/10
Ashley: 8/10

Rock on.
